Hans von Aachen was born in 1552 and was a German painter who was one of the greatest and leading representatives of Northern Mannerism. He has worked on numerous genre paintings in which most of his art works have been shown from chest upwards seen in a light mood, full of laughter. He and his wife were seen as a model in many of his paintings. Most of his paintings were of nudes and had a sense of eroticism in them. He belonged to art movements such as Mannerism (Late Renaissance) and Northern Renaissance.
