About Liuis Ribas
Liuis Ribas was born in Masnou, Spain in a coastal town in the Maresme district in 1949.
His life and career
This Spanish artist used to spend hours on the beach tracing drawings and figures in the sand. At nine years of age he began studying drawing and painting with Jose Martinez. At the age of 13, he entered the “Escuela Massana” in Barcelona. Ribas held his first one man exhibition which immediately earned him international acclaim at the age of 25 years.
When he was young artist, he chose the sea as a subject. For Ribas time is not important, he prefers to work slowly. Although his artistic career spans more than twenty years, his paintings quantity is not that much as compared to other artists. His paintings and each and every canvas art is highly desired by galleries and collectors all around the world.
