Biography:
Zolan was born on August 11, 1937 and is a fifth generation artist. He started to draw and paint at an early age of 3 years and till the age of 8 years he completed his first oil painting. He graduated from Chicago's American Academy of Art and began his artistic career apprenticing under a famous Chicago illustrator Haddon Sundblom. Zolan died in the year 2009. Donald Zolan is a world known artist. In almost most of his paintings,he always included some aspect of his Childhood experiences. He started drawing and painting at a tender age of 3 years. When he was five years of age, he created his first watercolor painting which he copied from a cover of famous Walt Disney comic book. He remembers that after seeing that watercolor painting, his mother thought he had torn the cover off the book. He said " its very fulfilling for me to capture children discovering the precious gifts of life for the first time with sheer joy, wonder and innocence, and on the other end of life's spectrum to portray philosophers writing what they have learned from their life."
